One thing i like to do is find a photographer whose work i enjoy and copy what they do. As in, look at a picture, and write down 3 things about it. This forces me to understand what is about this picture that I like. This in time makes me understand my own taste in images. I then do the same with the pictures I take, if there is one i really like, I try to understand why. Also, look at ugly pictures and write down why they dont work.

I dont have much experience with ultrawide lens, and the images are usually not my cup of tea. But i am sure you can find a lot of good photographers on this blog or at 500px.com or other blogs...
