Re: Is Full frame still the most versatile?

Hi

Sorry but I never said nobody needs it.

I (ME) believes It IS over rated...doesn't mean no one needs extreme shallow DOF.

Part of why I WANT FF  interchangeable lens mirrorless is for shallow DOF.

My current favourite lens is a Canon FD 85 1.2  L....even on the tiny Pentax Q DOF is quite narrow (at 40 feet DOF is less than 10 inches)......that is plenty shallow and I am not sure I would want less.....I do want to use that lens on FF for portraits to give variety over using it on other formats.

Others may well want less.

Same with my Pentax K 50 1.2...love using it wide open on apsc for shallow DOF but I can not think of wanting any shallower (again, others will)....but I do want to try that lens on FF as well.
