I think,

1) Hardware and software better integrated, designed it work together.

2) Macs are better integrated into the Apple infrastructure if you already have an iPhone or iPad

3) Macs have less security issues, malware etc. although I cannot say that MacOSX is any more secure than a *modern* Windows.

4) Less "Computer Stuff" needs to be done with a Mac, individual driver updates "AMD Catalyst Update" for example, what is that?

5) App store, a large number os safe secure high quality apps available

8) The biggest reason to use a Mac is Windows 8, suggest you try it in the shop, I absolutely hate it.

9) Better knowledgable support staff available at the Apple Store.

You notice most of this stuff isn't really about the OS, it is about the ancillaries; that is where the big difference lies.

Thanks for the reply. I actually already have Windows 8 running on one of my PCs and I don't hate it. It just takes some getting used to.

What happened to your numbers 6 and 7 from this list? (Just wondering if there are more reasons that you prefer Mac.)

Thanks again.
