Light And Stealthy Lenses For Paris
Apr 1, 2013

My Sigma 17-70 is too big and heavy and not very subtle.  I'm thinking of trying to get away with the 40 mm pancake and the EF 85 1.8 for walk arounds for a Paris trip this May. The 40 is light and stealthy especially on a 550D.  The 85 is small enough to carry around for when you want to capture some longer range architectural details and maybe even some landscapes.  I know that 40 is not wide on crop camera but maybe I won't miss the panoramas all that much.  I guess I could also bring the little 18-55 kit just in case and maybe even the Sigma 30 1.4 which is a great museum lens.  Any thoughts on which combinations will work best in a cityscape?

Canon EOS 550D (EOS Rebel T2i / EOS Kiss X4)
