I'm happy for you that your copy does better with flare. But clearly Lenstip's copy didn't. Who knows what is more representative. I also shoot Canon and were I get to get this lens, I hope I get a copy like yours rather than theirs.

But that's the point. Tested resolution is irrelevant any time there's any flare. Controlled testing MTF numbers go out the window. No matter how sharp the Canon is (and it is, indeed, incredibly sharp), a nice big green blob will destroy it.

Also, note that Lenstip's tests for μ43 are all done on the 12MP E-PL1, so there's resolution to be gained on all sides--in the case of the E-M5, I'd expect a 10-20% increase.
