I shot pictures at my son's wedding with my K5 and ended up with a great photos with the exception that the wedding dress looks a bit blue when all other colors are correct. Is it optical brightners in the white dress that does this? Should a filter of some type be used?

If you want to try recovering them in PP, Nik Software's "Color Efex" package has a "White Neutralizer" filter designed exactly for that purpose: to restore pure whites in wedding photographs.

This is what it says in the "Help" pages for the filter: "Removes color casts from light objects, such as white walls or brides' dresses. Use this filter to clean up images and create bright, crisp whites, without affecting the other colors in your photo."

You can download a 15-day free trial (at least, you used to be able to), which would probably do what you want.
