This may or may not indicate a weakness in the lens.  Since you were not running an actual, scientific lens testing operation, you appear to have shot the house at an angle possibly leaving the  far corner slightly further out of the depth of field.  To corroborate this lead, you should do some actual, scientifically controlled shots.  Tripod, level approach, a surface parallel to your sensor, a variety of focal lengths and apertures.  Some like brick walls, others use charts.  The softness could indicate a problem but don't jump to conclusions.  According to the sites I have read, the lens does pretty well at mid to long focal lengths.
