I wouldn't be too fussy about Camera settings because once you start dicking round with the camera

the shots gone !

Put it on " Automatic" and give it time to focus. I would get some kinda stick to lean the camera on .

If a stick is impossible, ( Walking stick / Mop Handle ?)  LEAN on stuff.
Tto steady it. Count your pulse, pressing the shutter in between heart beats.
Use the flash sometimes; might add to the fun.

- Keep shooting, you may get lucky !

I will come back and post if I come up with pics that are worth sharing.
