RATHER: any photographer who is beyond "entry level" is also beyond "one-thirds-rule"

it occurs to me that "entry level full frame" is an oxymoron.

not really, in the film era, that's what most beginners [entry level] had for film SLRs... 24x36mm film anyway

no different today.

it just happens that for dSLRs of the digital era, some mfrs offered the FF later than the APS-C (film was predominantly 'ff' before 'aps') than other mfrs, that's all.

Any photographer who understands what "full frame" means is beyond "entry level."
