The SL1 has a standard Canon APS registration distance, and uses standared Canon EF lenses.

And they are not small or light, especially when compared to the same AOV and aperture in a M43 lens.

I kept my 4/3 ZD lenses because they're so wicked sharp, but when I put them on the EM5, it's no longer a small camera. It becomes a DSLR in both size and weight.

In that respect, the SL1 is a bit of a con job. Look, we're as small and as light as those mirrorless systems... until you mount a lens, which is a rather essential component.
