I use a Really Right stuff TVC-23 tripod and a BH-55 head with quick release. On the cameras I use RRS L-brackets.This is a deluxe tripod and it is very very sturdy and relatively light. Find more info at http://reallyrightstuff.com/

They have to be the most over priced tripods I have ever seen. There is no way that kind of price is justifiable for a couple of carbon tubes.

They are the best and it has a price. See also http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/accessories/is_this_the_worlds_best_tripod.shtml

It look nice but for what it is the price is ott. Look at the top of the line, with a ball head and the optional centre column it comes in at $2000. Compared to the versatility of other quality brands it lacks in many ways. What you are paying for IMHO is some nice looking engineering and hence a big markup. Other brands do a better job for far less.
