RAW pixel count on the E-620 using RPP is 4100 x 3084 pixels versus the 4032 x 3024 pixels of an OOC JPG. Effectively, the RAW file shows a slightly increased VOF over the JPG. Some people have said the extra pixels are used for optimizing the image or something like that. I find the extra pixels fully usable.
