Sure, my point that at infinity distance Nikkor is sharper belongs to autofocus nuances.

Around year ago when I tested there was branches around. With Nikkor out of focus branches are smooth, with tamron they doubled.

Tamron at 300mm f/5.6 (cropped). focus on roadsign. Bricks are just fine, but branches, especially in right third of image are doubled.

There is crop from abowe. That's why I don't prefer othervise good Tamron.

Ant that is nikkor at f/7.1.

But honestly it was hard to find Nikkor images at f/5.6 300mm because I prefer not to go to the limits and shoot at 270mm f/7,1
