Beginner looking at D600

I'm looking at getting my first DSLR camera and was looking @ the D600.  However, a friend told me that it isn't as user friendly as a D5200.  The D5200 has a visual display that shows the aperture, shutter speed ...etc.. on the back LCD panel.

Should this be cause for concern in my decision making?  I wanted full frame capability and didn't want to spend money on DX lenses and later upgrade to FX finding myself buying a whole new set of lenses.

Do you agree the D600 is not a good choice for a beginner and I should be looking at a D3200 or D5200 instead?

Thanks
