I tried to clean the dust off my NEX-6 sensor. After trying the in camera cleaning and then a rocket blower, I used a dry static brush and I brushed oil from the edge onto the sensor. I send it Sony repair center in Laredo, Tx. In the repair request, I also told them that about three times in the last four month, I would turn the camera on and get a blank black screen for about three seconds.  In four days I got the results: sensor cleaned, no charge. I sent in only the camera body and was told that if this black out continues I should send in my 1650PZ (not my 35f18). The tech noted the possible lens problem in my file so that if I need to send it in, Sony would pay the shipping both ways. What great service. Thank you Israel Vargas, Sr. Specialist Technical Support.

I've only sent the camera in once for the infamous video click but also had an additional problem with the SD card not locking properly in place that I needed repaired at the same time.

I criticize Sony, at times, but have nothing but good things to say about my experience with their repair center.

Absolutely no complaints. Excellent service from the time I called their service line right through getting my repaired camera returned to me.

I've read some posts from people that had complaints about the service center but not many. Most people are very satisfied.
