I love the look of the X100 files, but I'm a RAW only guy and I process them in a way that they appeal to me, but there is something special about the look for me.

I like what I see when I process the NEX-7 files, but I process them differently than for the X100.

What I most like is B&W film and Velvia run through my Mamiya 7II.

Given that this is digital and this camera has the ergonomics that also made the X100 fabulous, I think that I will open the package.  After all, everything is faster and eventually there will be a RAW process that I like and settings that work for me.

In the mean time, I'll need to go through withdrawal when selling the X100, but less so letting the NEX-7 go.

My guns, the Mamiya 7, 7II and my other film cameras stay.  Yes, just another crude/primitive/ignorant American.
