RX1 dust issue
Generally, you don't see spots on the lens.
And if you could close up your aperture even more, you WILL see more spots on your sensor.
I can see one more spot pretty plainly. Down, and to the left I could see from your original post. I downloaded your file, and plated with the brightness/contrast/clarity as I would if I were cleaning my own sensor.
This is where I also see dust. Some faint...some pretty evident, pending settings I apply. I suspect this is not all dust, though the one you captured first is certainly a large spec of dust. Perhaps oil/lube splatters from the shutter or aperture blades, for the rest? Looks like that to me anyway. Not sure what the picture was of originally...perhaps these are dents/stains on a wall?
I would generally focus my lens into close as possible (macro), and take a shot of something like a wall (far away as you can), or grey or blue sky if possible, and set exposure comp to +1.And of course, shoot at your smallest aperture. upload, correct a bit for light fall off, and crank the clarity and contrast around.
