A modification of my D300s settings for CaptureNX2:

Just a first cut, but I'm pretty confident that you can do a good job with a mixture of light in-camera sharpening, local USM and global USM after down-sizing with this camera.

A while back I tried a comparison and found you to be generally correct ...a mixture of light in-camera sharpening, local USM and global USM ....with the D7K works well also. It gives me a nice straight from ViewNX2 to Jpeg option if I want it (vs zero in camera).

My opinions are my own and not those of DPR or its administration. They carry no 'special' value (except to me and Lacie of course)
