When I first intalled it, I did have some issues where it displayed some of my psd files' thumbnails but not all of them, so I did a quick google search and came up with the solution, which is pretty simple; it just involves changing the settings in the SageThumbs program. Basically, all you have to do is check the box that says, "Prefer image file embedded thumbnails" and choose a higher "Maximum size of image file," for example 200MB. Hope this helps; it worked for me. And free is always better.

I played a bit with sagethumbs and can conclude that it is not as good or convenient as mystic thumbs. First, you only get previews bij right clicking the file and there are not that many options as well.

Mystic thumbs lets you see the previews immediatly when you open a folder, still way more convenient then clicking a file!
