X20 and RX100 speed

I'm choosing between this two cameras. I know the plus of both, but the key for me is operativity and speed. I'm a SLR user and I want a fast camera. Maybe some users can tell me if while looking in the x20 finder, it allows the user to approach the view shot by shot without waiting the files just shot to be written on the card (with cameras like xz-1 is so frustrating). And if it's possible, if I can do the same with the RX100 (of course with the screen!).

For me this is the real downside of compacts against the SLR: camera freeze while files are written on the card.

I hope is clear what I mean.

Thanks in advance
