Well, I purchased the Phottix Ares and although I've only had the time to briefly try it out my first impression is very good. Seems like solidly built unit which do what they're supposed to. Even comes with a nice fabric carrying bag, batteries and a sync cable for studio strobes. No printed manual though (a CD with a PDF file is enclosed) but honestly I didn't even bother to read it before figuring it out on my own which was pretty simple.

The only minor downside I have noticed is that the lower mounting foot of the receiver is made of plastic and not metal. I don't know how much stress it can take if you mount it on a stand and put a heavy flash on top. I suppose any risks could be solved by using the screw mount.
