You don't know what you are talking about. The 70-300 is a lot better lens than you portray. Have you ever used one? I've shot lots of macro with this lens and find that it is a great performer. Enough said.

70-300 is very slow lens, which require enormous amount of light for production quality photographs on Olympus system with higher ISO limitations off 400-800.

If you are taking images of static subjects, that is another matter, but for anything that moves constraints are high.
