Macro with 16-50 pancake
7

Here's a nod to Edward Weston, one of the most influential photographers of all. His series of pepper studies is particularly well known and often copied.

This one is from our garden, and has an unusually deep cavity in one end. I've cut it in half transversely and backlit it.

This is an experiment using the 16-50mm pancake lens with manual close-up rings. You lose all lens control when the rings are used, so you have to set the aperture and focal length with the lens on the camera as normal, then remove it without turning off the power, and fit the rings. Then just focus by moving the camera. A bit fiddly, but works OK. (The pepper was tasty too.)
