If you're going to start with only one Leica lens, the real question is one only you can answer - what's your most used focal length with APS-C sized sensors. I would suggest that you get your first lens in your most used focal length. No doubt the 50 1.4 is an incredible lens, but with a 75 mm equivalent FF FOV, many might find it too tight on the NEX for many shots. If you do a lot of portraits, it might be perfect.

The 28 Cron makes a great "normal" lens on the Nex, but there's a little magenta corner shift on the Nex 7 that you would need to clean up in post processing (easy to do, but another step).
