A very different perspective... saying that Sony, Olympus, etc., are the ones on the right track

Don't forget that for the Sony NEX series, you have different constituencies.

  1. People who want to be able to use their legacy lenses of whatever brand using an inexpensive adaptor. They give up AF, but these ethusiasts don't mind.
  2. People moving up from P&S that don't yet need a large range of lenses.
  3. Sony owners that are happy to use their Sony and Minolta lenses (like me) on their NEX ... cheap if you don't want AF, more expensive if you do (but then you also get PDAF rather than less effective CDAF). 

I only have 2 NEX lenses. But I can use all my Sony DSLR lenses (about 10 or so). Mostly use the NEX lenses for their size...
