RX100 - minimalist belt case and wrist strap

I looked at the Newport 10 this weekend and almost bought it. Still might. Right now I'm using the semi-soft Sony case that came with my RX-100 bundle from Focus Camera, which is ok, but a little tight and slow to open for my taste. I do like the additional storage provided by the Newport.

When I wear a belt case it never eaves my belt until I'm at home (which is why, like the original poster, I also prefer a permanent belt-loop). It's not going to hit the floor unless I've fallen on the floor and landed on it, so I personally only need enough padding to avoid occasional bumps.
