I used it with my A2, unfortunately the last update was for Windows XP only.

I'm running Win 7/64. I bought the upgrade to the next level (whatever inane name they have for it) because it is backwards compatible with many things. I've found it capable or running some old DOS RS-232 programs and such, so I'm guessing it can also handle this, in case anyone cares to use it that way.

The name of the software I'm referring to is "DimageControlA2V1-1-8" (freeware) by JM Dubois and because it was only useable with XP I stopped using it. If you have modified this software to run on W7 I would be most interested in gaining a copy or advice on how to modify the installation file, I read that it can be done?

Fred, It appears you've not read my post well. Either that or I have communicated poorly. I have a program for controlling the camera from a Windows computer. You are welcome to it. I've not used it. I HAVE used several legacy programs on the MID LEVEL version of Windows 7 64 bit. That upgrade version has the capability of running older programs. I make no guarantees. Repeat... I have NOT run this program.

If you would like it I'd be happy, as I said in the first post, to upload it to a file sharing site if you can provide me with a link to one for that purpose. I have several files and I will send them all and leave it to you to sort them out and see if you can make one or more work.

If you do so, I'd consider it friendly of you to post your results here for others who may be similarly inclined.

Let me know.

Confusion at this end it seems, I'm still not sure if we are referring to the same software "DimageControl program by JM Dubois"? When ever I need to tether my A2 I need to dust off my very old XP laptop. Having a W7 version would allow me to use a newer laptop, better display etc.

Thanks for you interest, Fred
