7D mk2: apsc’s last stand?

I don't know about last stand of APS/C but what about the predicted price difference between 7DII and Nikon D7100 at very much closer to 1000$.  I'm glad I still have my excellent but slow Nikkor 16-85mm and my very fine but very very fine 35mm f/1.8g.  Will need to pick up a good tele to go shootin' sports, though.
