It's great. It's not as sharp as the 30/2.8 Sigma, but few lenses are. It's a little sharper than my Nikon f/2.8 AIS which had been my primary landscape lens for 20 years. That's very sharp. It's a wonderful landscape lens. Handles sun in the frame very wel, has good color and contrast. It's good enough for 8x12 prints wide open. It's just excelllent at f/5.6 and f/8.
