I do that, too, but only because I already have the pentax tubes; I also go the other way, as the OP does, which has the benefit of requiring only one set of tubes for all adapted lenses, even C mount

Looks to me like the Fotodiox tubes aren't that good, I've never seen that amount of play in any of my adapters or tubes.

Main issue I have with tubes is that on the cheaper ones, the threads can tend to jam, and there isn't any positive registration so I often have the lens rotated into an annoying position. Ideally, tubes would be a set of different lengths all with m4/3 mounts each end, instead of threaded.
