Not taken seriously with OMD
6

I shot my first event with an OMD this past weekend. While technically, I had not problems and it was a joy to use a light camera (used to use a D700), I often had a hard time being taken seriously as the event photographer. Getting people to pose for you if they do not recognize you as the official photographer for the event was sometimes hard.

Has anyone here had a similar experience? Any ideas how to deal with that?

An amusing side note: I had a conversation with the bartender who told me he had a full frame Canon. He wanted to know why I did not have a bigger camera.
