The lens has been reviewed at http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Publications/DxOMark-Reviews/Sigma-17-70mm-f2.8-4-DC-Macro-OS-HSM-C-Canon-The-Above-Standard-Zoom. In tests against the Nikon and Canon Pro lenses it stood its own - good news !
