Is this an interesting thread?? Jury still out, had a quick look at the replies and noticed that I don't quite understand the thumbs up system here. In fact the other day I followed a thread on a different forum where somebody had scored 8 "like" so I thought, lets have a look and the guy (or girl, anything in between, don't want to offend anybody...) simply said "Wow" ... check the post this had been in reply to but there was no obvious connection.

Nevermind for all it's worth, I thought that the thread is quite typical in today's world where accessories are part of trying to find some individuality. Marketing is just one element of this because marketing can change the perception, the home page gives you an idea, beautiful gear, mostly vintage or vintage looking. The price? You can get one, just as good from K-Mart - or was it Amazon?? The article only costs US$ 1.00 to make? But only if you are on US$ 60.00 per hour and can make one in 60 seconds, including initial marketing, time and the actual thing.

Hipster is not something you want to be, right? So I will not buy one of those, although I like the website and the general idea of "individualising" a factory made piece of engineering, will not buy one, because I couldn't bear the thought that I would be judged by those who had a less than kind reply to the original poster.

That would indeed be terrible, wouldn't it?

Interesting indeed (jury just got back!) but for all the wrong reasons! Social scientists would have a field day here!
