I want more dynamic range so that I can...?

If you are one of the people saying you want more dynamic range from your next camera, or you won't buy a 70D or 7D II if the DR isn't extended, or that you're going to buy a Nikon or Sony because it has more JPEG DR than the equivalent Canon... please tell me why it is so important to you.

I'm not interested in answers in terms of electronic engineering, I want to know how it would make a difference to your photography. Like, what completes this sentence for you? - I want more dynamic range so that I can... (And please make it clear whether you are talking about shooting raw or JPEGs.)
