aside from a few minor niggles (underpowered flash, high battery usage) this seems to be the new bridge zoom to get if you want ultrasuperzoom.  I was really impressed with the high resolution of the shots you uploaded, so do you think this camera has much better resolving power (lph) than previous HS series cameras? I'd be curious to see if you prefer L size or M size- it all comes down to whether you want to have to use ISO 400 to get DR 400 or not and from what you've said so far, I think you said people should still stick to the lower ISOs? So above ISO 400 isn't so good?  That would mean M size is the way to go.

One other thing that I'm excited about is that you stated IR colors seem to actually be better in this camera- is the shutter speed also faster in IR or about the same? Fuji seems to be bucking the trend of installing stronger IR blockers!
