I think the arguments over which is the best pinhead superzoomer is like arguing which chicken with its head cut off performs most like a live chiucken. All of the small sensor cams are seriously handicaped . After 400 ISO ..bad things happen to them all. In lowered light ..more stuff starts happening ---with them all from what I have seen..(though pp can often do wonders)

But that is where Panny (and I am not a Panny superzoom owner) has made a big stride ahead with a constant f/2.8 lens on the FZ200. At any zoom length with a 1 to 2 stop advantage in lens speed, it will let you shoot at ISO 200 instead of 800 or 400 instead of 1600, significantly mitigating the shortcomings of a small sensor across a wide range of photographs.

The constant 2.8 lens was a brilliant stroke by Panny IMO, something that will truly pay off in real world results much more than another mega mega X zoom.
