Olympus D-490 Zoom (C990Z) review

I purchased this camera right when it came out in 2000, right when my son was born. I have had alot of fun with it, it still works almost perfectly despite being dropped multiple times. A couple of times the battery seemed to die very fast, but taking them out and back in again usually fixed it.
I have been getting alot of pictures out of the batteries, probably because I rarely use the LCD display.
The pictures are very good, and I am happy with the quality. It only has serial connection, and transferring pictures use alot of power. It is also sometimes slow to focus and to take pictures. I am still happy with it, and could probably live with it for another year or two without too much pain, but I am looking to replace it, probably with eth Sony H2, in a few weeks.
