Olympus D-580 Zoom (C-460 Zoom) review
I like to take landscape and wildlife shots. I had a Nikon Coolpix 990 which was sort
of my pretend DSLR. It died and I decided to get an inexpensive point and shoot until
the real DSLRs were affordable. I figured it would give me adequate shots of the
family and at least remind me of the views I encountered when I am outdoors. I was
pleasantly surprised with the quality of the photos. The color is balanced and the
images are quite sharp. The biggest drawbacks are related to the lens covering
mechanism. It feels a bit cheap and tends to slide open when sticking the camera into
your pocket. Also, the flash, as expected, can be a bit slow recharging.
No problems were encountered. This is a good little camera.
