Canon EOS-1D Mark III review
I often shoot in low light situations and have often lamented about the exponential noise increase as I boosted the ISO. The Mark III is a godsend for individuals who shoot in low light as in stage photography. The accuracy of focusing combined with the low noise levels makes this camera worth its weight in gold.
I recently purchased a new 40D as a backup and am grateful that the user menus and interface is so similar to the Mark III. In essence the 40D is a 'Mini Me' of the Mark III
The only issue I have is that the flash memory card selection will move from your default setting to the card that is left in the camera. This makes sense until your main card is reinserted and the SD card remains the 'main' choice. Other than that, this is the camera for me and my needs.
