Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W170 review

I was amazed by the quality of one of my friend's sony cybershot and bought the HD quality wide lens camera. However, the very basic objective is not met. All the pictures look nice on the LCD screen, but once they are downloaded you find they are heavily grainy, irrespective of the light condition. I tried to look at various options, since there is a Auto programmable mode but in vain. It allows only limited options. The Image Stabilization is namesake and I hardly got anything from it. I wish the seller takes it back at some discount.

Problems:

- Grainy Pictures
- Shadow images if used in low light conditions
- Image stabilization doesn't work (single shot, continous)
- Unexpectedly becomes slow when the 4GB memory card became more than half full.

10 megapixels • 2.7 screen • 28 – 140 mm (5×)
