Reliable, ergonomically excellent, great RAW image quality (as far as i can tell, still better than 2012 releases like the Canon 650D/Nikon D3200), 6fps, incredibly cheap, light, decent VF, easy menu layout, HDR, customizable 'green' button, fast start-up, many other features like the ability to convert most recent JPEG to raw with one button press etc..

Another massive advantage of going with the k-r (or most Pentax DSLRS) is the awesome in-camera SR (shake reduction). I've taken handheld photos at 1/4 sec in near-dark venues, with ISO 6400, and have produced sharp photos with controllable noise levels. Here's the proof:

I paid €530 with twin lens kit, so for that price all i can say is...BARGAIN. IMO 71% is an inaccurate score - realistically it's at the 80-85% mark, because it competes with, and mostly beats any of the market rival equivalent cameras from Sony, Canon etc...

Low light/tungsten focusing, however i usually use 1 spot central focus and have taken many photos in dimly lit pubs etc without much problem..

Apparently the video mode isn't good, but i've never actually used it because it is, in fact, a camera..

The shutter is a little on the noisy side.

JPEG software could be better.
