DP2M: Sunset

There was a nice sunset on the way home and I thought I'd grab some shots of it with my DP2M.  I got home and was initially happy with them, but then noticed the very strange colors, again. The bottom left corner of this image is all funky.

First shot is straight out of the camera, just converted to JPG with SPP.

The second shot was made in Lightroom after being converted to a TIFF.  I'm not happy with either.  Could I have done better?

Coming from the Fujiworld, the color inaccuracy of this camera is quite startling.  I need help learning how to process images like these.
