Firmware possibility of focus peaking overlay in OVF mode?

Was playing around with the drive modes yesterday. I notice in multi exposure mode, the camera actually displays the first exposure in the OVF while waiting for you to take the second exposure.

If that's already possible, I don't see any reason why Fuji couldn't implement the peaking display in OVF. Or perhaps it's not a technical limitation... perhaps it may not be able to fully account for parallax, but I wouldn't mind the visual offset.
