Would a NEX be an adequate replacement for an Alpha a55?
Mar 13, 2013

I'm 75 and love nature photography (bugs, birds, flowers, landscapes, other animals) and take most photos while hiking. I have two main cameras, a super zoom and an a55 and am trying to find a solution that will combine the best of two both;  the versatility of the super zoom and the quality of the a55.

I would like a camera that can use the a55 lenses (around home) and yet be light, small and versatile enough to take along on a hike. The camera also needs to have an EVF and a adjustable LCD.

Do you think that these two cameras could be replaced with one NEX and a lens or two?
