I have pre-ordered the new X100s and have some questions about hdmi....

Have someone tried to connect the camera (X100s, X-E1, X-Pro1...) to a computer monitor or a LCD/plasmascreen with a mini hdmi to hdmi cable?

If so, will the menu system come up on the screen? Is it possible to process RAW files in the in-camera RAW editor while you watch it all on the much larger screen?

I hpoe some of you can try do see if this works...

That's an interesting idea, why didn't I think of it before. I was somewhat disappointed that Fuji did not release a "native" RAW converter on PC that produces the same film simulation modes as the in-camera conversion, but this could be a reasonable workaround....

Not sure if I have the right cables, if I do then I can give it a try on my calibrated Dell U2711 at home.

(edit: doh, my calibration won't apply at all... but worth a try anyway...)
