Putting E-5 Mysets to a good use
In reply to pris, Mar 12, 2013

Four Mysets is a great way to configure your E-5 for some typical situations in a matter of 1-2 seconds, changing a lot of settings and parameters at once. Would be even better if we could name them, instead of memorizing which is for what. My settings:

Myset1, Continuous shooting for moving target: Shutter Priority, ISO Auto, WB Auto, IS Off, Drive Mode Sequential High, AF Mode C-AF-MF, AF Target Diamond, Metering Mode Center-Weighed.

Myset2, Handheld Exposure Bracketing: Shutter Priority, ISO 200, WB Auto, IS On, Drive Mode Sequential High, AE Bracketing 7F 0.7EV, AF Mode S-AF-MF, AF Target Diamond, Metering Mode Martix.

Myset3, Tripod shooting: Manual, ISO 200, WB Auto, IS Off, Drive Mode Single Shot, AF Mode S-AF-MF, AF Target Center Spot, Shutter Delay 4 seconds, Remote Control, Metering Mode Center -Weighed.

Myset4, Normal shooting (for quick return to "standard operating procedure"): Manual, ISO 200, WB Auto, IS On, Drive Mode Single Shot, AF Mode S-AF-MF, AF Target Center Spot, Metering Mode Center -Weighed, S 125, F 8

Each set of settings of course is a starting point from which you can make necessary adjustments. For instance, in Myset4 S125 and F8 are somewhere in vicinity of the most frequent standard settings one can expect on an average day outside, so you jump to it quickly and change according to meter indications from there.
