Photon conversion into electron flow in no way sees photosites 'filling up' - electrons flow when energised, not sit there pooling up in 'height' ... light conversion therefore has no height ... hence the poor analogous use of liquid in buckets as exposure metaphors.

blooming? PF?

Huh? Got me with that one - no idea what you are talking about mate

You said that there is no "filling up" of photosites.  But when you "fill up" a photosite, not only does it register full white, but booming occurs, affecting adjascent photosites.  Well, this is just what I've read -- feel free to Google!  I'm no sensor expert.

But your claim that photosites do not fill up seems to contradict what I've read about how the process works.  It seems more analagous to the water example than you'd seemingly like to admit, even though, of course, it's not the same.  It's just an analogy.
