Now I've got that 35-100....I need to send it back

Sorry I didn't get all the data inset in the images. Suffice it to say that these are direct comparisons between my new Panasonic 35-100 and my Olympus 40-150. The first two are un-cropped, at 100mm, f 5.6, from about 8 feet away. They are jpegs straight OOC.

The next two are 75mm and 100mm, and each half of the side-by-sides is the left half of shots taken with the Panasonic on one side, and the Olympus on the other. All are direct comparisons, which is to say same aperture, focus point, etc., and all are straight OOC.

So, not a terrifically scientific test, but holy crap!!! Scarcely a difference between a lens I paid $100 for and one that cost $1400. Anyone who wants to empathize, criticize, or talk me into or out of sending that Panasonic back, go right ahead. I'm interested in all points of view.
