ELinchrom Quadra ECO question

Has anyone used this for Macro photography?  I have a 2 A head system at the moment but was thinking of adding the ringflash for portrait and macro - my only concern is that it might be too bright for macro and not be able to be tamed enough!
I am currently using an Olympus OM-D so base iso is 200 as well.
