"Classic Glass" exhumed from closet. (forget the 70-200 2.8 vr ii for a while?)

Several years ago I bought a Nikon 180mm f/2.8 D lens for a song on eBay and shelved it because my D70 refused to focus it even close to accurately. I took it with me today to a coffee shop in Cow Hollow (in San Francisco) and snapped a few of some unsuspecting people. I also took a portrait of the lens with my 50mm 1.8 G lens, wide open. See below.
